Cement Brick / Concrete Brick / flyash brick

Cement brick / Concrete Brick and Flyash Brick are different in composition only. All are building materials made by combining cement, sand, aggregates, and water. These are then molded and compressed to form rectangular shapes. They are widely used in construction due to several advantages including:

  • Strength and durability: Cement bricks can withstand a lot of weight and harsh weather conditions, making them suitable for long-term building projects

  • Resistance to environmental factors: Cement bricks are resistant to moisture, fire, and pests, which helps to ensure the longevity of a structure.
  • Cost-effective: Compared to other building materials, cement bricks are relatively inexpensive to produce and purchase.

There are two main types of cement bricks: solid and hollow. Solid cement bricks are exactly what they sound like – they are completely solid throughout. They are the strongest type of cement brick and are ideal for foundations, retaining walls, and other load-bearing structures. Hollow cement bricks, on the other hand, have voids or cores running through them. These voids make them lighter and easier to handle than solid bricks, but they are also not quite as strong. They are commonly used for non-load-bearing walls, such as interior partitions.
